Dear Parents and 9th Graders,

You and your child are invited to attend our Confirmation Parent & Student Meeting on Wednesday, September 10 at 6 PM.

  • Meal 6-6:30PM
  • Confirmation (Grades 7-9): 6:30PM in the Fellowship Hall.
  • Wednesday Night Worship 7-7:30PM

We will be commissioning our 9th Graders and their mentors during the 9:00 AM service on Sunday, October 5th.

Please complete the 9th grade registration form with Mentor information by Friday, September 26th. Mentors If you are still looking for a mentor or would like some help in finding one, please let me know.

Following worship on October 5th, we’ll gather with mentors to review the guidelines for this year. You have already received these guidelines, and your mentors will also receive them, but this time together will give us the chance to answer any questions.

As part of the 9th Grade confirmation process:

  • Monthly Gatherings with Mentors: We will meet on the first Wednesday of each month, beginning in October. Please attend Wednesday Night Worship together at 6:45PM. We will have class together following the service from 7:15-8PM. These gatherings will include a topic from our Re:form curriculum with discussion, as well as time with mentors for reflection and questions. We only meet 7 times during the year, making it very important that classes are attended. If you have to miss a class please let Missy know.
  • Serving in Worship & Worship notes: Each 9th Grader and their mentor will assist in at least four worship services this year. We have google docs sign up sheets for worship assistants. We need greeters, readers, communion assistants and acolytes. Links to these documents can be found under announcements on the church website. 9th graders need to submit 10 worship notes due May 2026. These can be done at any of our worship services. Completed notes can be placed in the file folder outside of Missy’s office door.
  • Community service- 9th graders need 10 hours of community service before their confirmation retreat next year. Please complete a paper community service form and have an adult present sign your form. Completed community service sheets can be placed in the file folder outside of Missy’s office door.
